Classical music and jazz in Xaintrie
Festiv'Arts en Xaintrie is a cultural association that works to create connections between the inhabitants of Bassignac-le-Haut and the surrounding communes through the organization of concerts and cultural events. The festival highlights classical music and jazz in the heritage sites of Xaintrie Val'Dordogne.
Under the artistic direction of Jacques Borsarello, a renowned musician, professor at the Versailles regional conservatory, and founder of the "Alto en Béarn" festival, Festiv'Arts offers a demanding program mixing great names of baroque and classical music, renowned ensembles, and young talents.
An eclectic program in exceptional venues
The festival takes place in the churches and chapels of Bassignac-le-Haut, Argentat, and the communes of Xaintrie, offering an exceptional acoustic and heritage setting for the concerts. The program explores all musical genres, from baroque to contemporary, with a preference for vocal and chamber music.
Among the invited ensembles: the Quatuor Borsarello, the Trio Bruch, the Quatuor ARNAGA, the Orchestre symphonique du Pays Basque, and many ensembles specializing in the baroque and classical repertoire (Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schumann, Bartók, Ravel, Webern, Bacri).
The Concerts de Diane
The festival notably organizes the "Concerts de Diane", a series of chamber music concerts that attract over 100 spectators to the church of Bassignac-le-Haut. These intimate concerts allow for the discovery of rare works and exceptional interpretations in a contemplative atmosphere.
