The Festival Banda Flors makes the brass instruments and big drums resonate in the streets of Évaux-les-Bains every third weekend of August. This festive event brings together several bandas — these festive brass bands inherited from the musical tradition of the Southwest — for a weekend of music, parades, and conviviality. The carnival atmosphere that reigns in the streets of the spa town attracts a family and enthusiastic audience every year.

Giant paella and dancing evenings

The Festival Banda Flors program is marked by several highlights. On Saturday evening, a giant paella is served outdoors, accompanied by the bandas that make guests dance until late at night. On Sunday afternoon, starting at 3 PM, the grand banda parade takes over the town's streets with decorated floats, offering a colorful and musical spectacle not to be missed.

Bands from all over the region

The festival welcomes bands from all over Nouvelle-Aquitaine and beyond. Among the groups that have performed in Évaux-les-Bains are the Banda du Périgord, the fanfare des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Boussac, the Banda de Roches, and Brass'Rient de Limoges. This diversity of bands ensures a varied musical program, between band traditions and more modern creations.
