About Biotope
The Biotope Festival is a festival dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity and the environment, organized annually in spring in the Grand Saint-Émilionnais (Gironde). Led by the Biotope Festival association, established in this wine-growing region since 2016, it offers conferences, round tables, workshops, screenings, and public events focused on major environmental issues, as well as awareness-raising actions in schools.
Biotope — edition 2026
The 10th edition of the Biotope Festival was held from Friday, May 15th to Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, in Saint-Émilion, centered around the theme "Alive?!". This festival, dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity and the environment, brought together conferences, round tables, workshops, and public events at the Hall and Garden of the Dominicans, rue Guadet.
Biotope Festival 2026 — "Alive?!"
For its 10th edition, the Biotope Festival marked a strong turning point around the theme "Alive?!", from May 15th to 19th, 2026, in Saint-Émilion. Organized by the Biotope Festival association, this event combines environmental reflection and awareness-raising for the preservation of biodiversity in wine-growing and agricultural regions.
A five-day program
- Friday, May 15th — Working day with local stakeholders on the future of the region: conferences, round tables, and the development of an action plan.
- Saturday, May 16th — Family day: workshops offered by partner associations, presentation of nature clubs and educational pathways, as well as shows.
- Sunday, May 17th — Day of discovery of the region and the living world alongside professionals.
- Monday, May 18th and Tuesday, May 19th — Days dedicated to schoolchildren, in conjunction with the Communauté de communes du Grand Saint-Émilionnais: sports and environmental workshops.
The events took place at the Hall and Garden of the Dominicans, rue Guadet in Saint-Émilion.
