Festival Bouillez!: twenty-five years of street arts at the foot of the castle
Since 1998, on the first weekend of July, the surroundings of the Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul transform into an open-air theater. Festival Bouillez!, supported by the Comité des fêtes de Bouillé-Saint-Paul, is one of the oldest street arts festivals in Deux-Sèvres. With over a quarter of a century of existence, it has acquired a strong identity, blending quality live performance and village conviviality.
The Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul: a dream setting
The Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul, located in the town of Val en Vignes in the north of Deux-Sèvres, offers a remarkable heritage setting for the festival's performances. The stages are set up at the foot of the walls, in the gardens, and in the adjacent squares, creating an intimate and magical atmosphere that enhances the artists' performances. This marriage between architectural heritage and street arts is one of the festival's signatures.
Circus, burlesque, mime, poetry, and music
The program of Festival Bouillez! embraces the diversity of street arts: contemporary circus, street theater, burlesque, mime, poetry, juggling, and live music. Each edition hosts about ten shows spread over two evenings, featuring professional companies from regional, national, and sometimes international circuits. The festival has notably programmed companies such as TC Spectacles and La Baleine Cargo.
Two evenings in the heart of summer
The festival takes place on Friday and Saturday of the first weekend of July. Each evening offers several shows that follow one another on the different stages, allowing festival-goers to wander between performances in a village festival atmosphere. On-site catering and a bar complement the offer, in a friendly and family-oriented spirit.
Bouillez! through the vineyards: the October day
For several years, the festival has offered a complementary day in October, titled “Bouillez! through the vineyards”. This original format combines a discovery tour by bike or bus (34 km) with presentations on local geology, viticulture, and culture, followed by a tasting with local winemakers and open-air performances. This day celebrates the wine region of Val en Vignes and anchors the festival in its territory.
A family-friendly and accessible festival
With moderate prices — free for children under 12 — and reduced rates for young people, students, and job seekers, Festival Bouillez! remains true to its popular and family-oriented mission. The two-day pass allows you to enjoy the entire program at an advantageous price.
Bouillez! — edition 2026
The 27th edition of Festival Bouillez! will take place on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026 near the Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul, in Val en Vignes (Deux-Sèvres). The program includes two evenings of street arts, contemporary circus, burlesque theater, mime, and music, featuring about ten professional companies. The complementary day « Bouillez! à travers les vignes » is announced for October 9 and 10, 2026.
Festival Bouillez! — 2026 Edition (27th edition)
Festival Bouillez! returns on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026 for its 27th edition at the foot of the Château de Bouillé-Saint-Paul. Two evenings are scheduled, followed by a day « Bouillez! à travers les vignes » on October 9 and 10, 2026.

The program for the two July evenings has been unveiled by the festival committee:
- Friday, July 3, 2026: Cirque Hirsute (« Cosmicomics », 6:45 PM), Grand Colossal Théâtre, Zalata, Lil Brass Band
- Saturday, July 4, 2026: Chiendent Théâtre, Lapin 34, Accrosway Duo, T'es Rien Sans la Terre, Wilson 5
The precise timings of the other shows as well as the order of appearance on the different stages will be communicated during spring 2026 on the official website bouillez.net and on the festival's social media channels.
Circus, Street Theater, Burlesque and Music
True to its DNA, the 2026 edition blends contemporary circus, burlesque theater, mime, poetry, dance and live music (notably with the New Orleans jazz brass band Lil Brass Band closing Friday's event). The shows follow one another outdoors near the castle, in an intimate and family-friendly format. Fast food and a refreshment stand are provided on site by the Comité des fêtes de Bouillé-Saint-Paul.
Bouillez! à travers les vignes — October 9 and 10, 2026
In addition to the two July evenings, the festival offers its « Bouillez! à travers les vignes » day on October 9 and 10, 2026: a discovery tour in the heart of the Val en Vignes vineyards, tastings with local winemakers and open-air shows.
