The Festival de la Bande Dessinée en Gascogne is a major comic strip event in the Southwest of France. For over 30 years, it has brought together about thirty renowned authors and screenwriters every first weekend of August in Eauze for moments of sharing with the public.
Meetings and Signings
The heart of the festival is the meetings between authors and readers. Festival-goers can chat with their favorite artists and get personalized signings. The authors are present throughout the weekend, in a relaxed atmosphere typical of the Gers.
Workshops and Exhibitions
Introduction workshops to the art of comic strips are offered for children and adults. Exhibitions of original plates allow you to discover the behind-the-scenes of creation. Conferences and debates on current comic strip news complete the program.
A Family Festival
Éauze BD is an accessible and family-friendly festival. Admission is free and the activities are aimed at all audiences, from the youngest readers to passionate collectors.

The 32nd edition of the Comic Strip Festival in Gascogne will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Eauze, capital of Armagnac (Gers). A day of meetings and signings with about thirty French and foreign authors, in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere.
BD en Gascogne — 2026 Edition
The 32nd edition of the Comic Strip Festival in Gascogne will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Eauze (32800), on the Esplanade Francois Mitterrand. Each year, the festival brings together about thirty French and international comic strip authors, who come to meet the public for a day of signings.
The usual program includes: signing sessions, exhibitions of original plates, comic strip initiation workshops, and a comic strip market (new and second-hand). Admission is free. The detailed program and the list of invited authors for 2026 are currently being prepared as of our verification date.
