The 24th edition of the Roc Castel Festival will take place from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Le Caylar, in the Hérault department, on the border between Hérault and Aveyron on the Larzac plateau.
Since 2010, the festival's guiding theme has been "In Praise of Slow Travel": each year, it welcomes travelers who have chosen to explore the world on foot, by bike, on horseback, or by boat, to better discover it and meet its inhabitants, and who come to share their stories. For four days, the village square comes alive with travel stories, concerts, theater performances, dances, workshops, games, exhibitions, and a market.
The festival operates on the principle of free and conscious participation: all offerings are freely accessible, but the organization incurs costs, so voluntary contributions are welcome.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition (travel stories, workshops, activities, exhibitions, and concerts) will be announced in June.
