Itinéraires Bis — edition 2026

The 12th edition of the Festival Itinéraires Bis takes over the town center of La Riche on Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th, 2026, and remains completely free of charge. Fatoumata Diawara will headline Friday night, while Yannick Noah takes the stage on Saturday at the Grande Scène on Place du 11-Novembre. This year's street arts program expands to include the grounds of the Parc du château du Plessis.

A 12th edition that scales up

Organized by La Pléiade and the town of La Riche, Itinéraires Bis returns on June 19th and 20th, 2026, for two days of festivities that are entirely free and open to everyone. The festival keeps its traditional format—an opening night on Friday and a full day on Saturday—but features a more ambitious musical lineup than ever, with two headliners of national and international stature.

Fatoumata Diawara and Yannick Noah on the Main Stage

The Grande Scène, located on Place du 11-Novembre, will host Malian singer and guitarist Fatoumata Diawara, a major figure in world music, on Friday, June 19th, preceded by the band Sheng. On Saturday, June 20th, Yannick Noah will close the festival at 9:45 PM. He is a popular headliner capable of drawing large crowds while ensuring the festival stays true to its street arts roots.

Street arts at the heart of the project

Reducing Itinéraires Bis to just its concerts would mean missing its true DNA. Numerous performances are scattered throughout public spaces over the two days: the Chinese pole act by Borderline (Cirque Entre Nous), the monumental steampunk parade by Ethno Machine (Cie Nomad Nomad), the participatory show Nos Déconfitures by Les Beaux Fiascos, the circus act Une Jungle (Cie Chao.S), 95% Mortel (Cie du Coin), and Le Marathonik by the company Supernovae. La Fanfare Saugrenue and other roaming acts will transform the streets into an open-air stage.

New for 2026: The Parc du château du Plessis

This year, the festival is expanding into new areas of the town center. Part of the street arts program on Saturday, June 20th, will take place in the Parc du château du Plessis, joining the existing venues: Parc René-Laënnec, Place du Maréchal-Leclerc, the Philippe-de-Commynes parking lot, and the La Pléiade hall.

Le Bis, the festival village

Located on Rue du 11-Novembre, the area known as "Le Bis" keeps the festival spirit alive throughout both days: the basement theater by Les Cousines, the Free Paillettes safe space hosted by Les Etabli.es, a cultural outreach program led by local youth, the mascot Poulpo, and a selection of local, eco-friendly food options.

Itinéraires Bis: La Riche's Popular Festival

The Festival Itinéraires Bis has become, in just a few editions, an unmissable event in the cultural life of the Tours metropolitan area. Every year in June, the city center of La Riche, a town bordering Tours, transforms for two days into a vast space for celebration and artistic discovery. Supported by La Pléiade, the city's cultural venue, this free festival offers a 100% street arts and world music program that attracts an ever-increasing audience.

A Program Open to the World

The strength of Itinéraires Bis lies in its ability to mix international artists, the French scene, and local discoveries in a single festive spirit. Recent editions have hosted artists as diverse as Dakh Daughters (Ukrainian musicians with a punk spirit), La Yegros (Argentine cumbia), Féfé (French chanson), Hatik (urban pop), as well as street theater and circus companies. This musical and artistic diversity reflects the festival''s identity: an open, curious, and generous event.

A Festival Aimed at Being Popular

Itinéraires Bis claims a popular and accessible character. The free nature of the event, its presence in public spaces, and the diversity of its programming aim to reach all audiences, from families to music lovers, from local residents to visitors from the metropolitan area. The festival involves local associations and the community in its organization, creating a true moment of collective life and sharing.

La Pléiade at the Heart of the Project

La Pléiade, La Riche's municipal cultural venue, is the driving force behind the festival. This venue, dedicated to performing arts and music, is responsible for the artistic direction of Itinéraires Bis and mobilizes its network of artists and partners to build an ambitious program. The festival is part of a rich cultural season that animates La Riche throughout the year, making this town a dynamic cultural hub in the Tours metropolitan area.

Two Days of Celebration in the Streets

The festival unfolds over two days, usually a Friday and a Saturday in June. Friday evening opens the festivities with a major concert, while Saturday offers a full day of street performances, entertainment, and concerts that take over the squares and streets of the city center. Recent editions have gathered up to 10,000 spectators over the weekend, confirming the growing attractiveness of this event.
