About Festival Mots Parleurs
The Mots Parleurs festival is a winter event organized annually by the library network of the Communauté de communes Vallée de l'Hérault. For about fifteen days, theatre, storytelling, puppetry, musical readings, and meetings take over the libraries and cultural venues of the territory, around Gignac (Hérault). The festival celebrates the power of words and stories through song, narrative, humor, and poetry, with programming for all ages (family, youth, adult).

The 6th edition of the Mots Parleurs festival took place from January 24th to February 8th, 2026, in the Vallée de l'Hérault. More than twenty events punctuated this winter season: theatre, storytelling, puppets, and musical readings, in the network's libraries and the territory's cultural venues, for family, youth, and adult audiences.
The opening night, Saturday, January 24th, 2026, welcomed the group Bonbon Vodou in its "Piment Piment" formula, in partnership with Le Sonambule venue, preceded by a meeting at the Gignac media library at 18h30.

Mots Parleurs, the festival that makes people talk in the Vallée de l'Hérault
Born in 2019, the Mots Parleurs festival is supported by the library network of the Communauté de communes Vallée de l'Hérault. Each winter, it offers about twenty events spread across the libraries and cultural venues of the valley's communes, around Gignac.
The program combines theatre, storytelling, puppetry, musical readings, and artist encounters. The network's libraries transform into spaces of spectacle and emotion, for family, youth, and adult audiences. Funny, touching, or unsettling, these stories always reflect a little bit of who we are and the era in which we live.
Most events are free; only certain evenings (the opening concert in particular) are paid, in partnership with Le Sonambule venue in Gignac.
