Celebration of Local Produce in the Heart of Creuse
The Festival of Bread, Wine, and Cheese is a must-attend gourmet event in Évaux-les-Bains, organized every second weekend of September on the Champ Avel. Since its creation, this event has celebrated the know-how of the region's producers and artisans through a market full of flavors. Visitors can taste and buy local products in a friendly and festive atmosphere, from 9 am to 6 pm.
A Market of Producers and Artisans
The heart of the festival is its producers' market, where bakers, winemakers, cheesemakers, and artisans present their specialties. Visitors discover artisanal breads baked in wood-fired ovens, wines from different French regions, and farmstead cheeses of all kinds. A meal accompanied by a folk group is offered at noon, blending gastronomy and traditions.
Entertainment and Shows for the Whole Family
Beyond gastronomy, the Festival of Bread, Wine, and Cheese offers a program of various entertainment. Children are delighted with clown shows, while mechanics enthusiasts admire the exhibitions of vintage cars and vintage tractors. Traditional music and dances, as well as equestrian demonstrations, complete this day dedicated to rural heritage and local traditions.

The 2026 edition of the Bread, Wine, and Cheese Festival will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Évaux-les-Bains, in Creuse. Throughout the day, a market of producers and artisans will offer tastings and sales of artisanal breads, local wines, and regional cheeses, in a friendly and gourmet atmosphere.
On the program: clown entertainment for children, traditional music and dances, a show, exhibitions of old cars and vintage tractors, a refreshment stand, and lunch. Admission is free, lunch is available by reservation.
