When music, dance, and theater invite themselves into a Norman art garden
In the heart of the Pays de Caux, a few kilometers from the Côte d'Albâtre, sculptor Robert Arnoux has created an extraordinary place: Terre d'Accord, a two-hectare art garden where his monumental sculptural installations dialogue with vegetation, water, and fire. Divided into four gardens — the Jardin du Feu (Fire Garden), the Jardin de l'Eau (Water Garden), and the Jardins de la Terre (Earth Gardens) — this landscaped studio is both a creative space and a permanent exhibition venue.
In 2023, Robert Arnoux and his team took a new step by launching the Festival Terre d'Accord(s), inviting performing artists to inhabit the garden and create works that resonate with its installations. The concept is radical and poetic: artists immerse themselves in the garden, compose with its natural and sculptural elements, and offer performances where the audience wanders from one stage to another, in an immersive experience that blurs the lines between concert, performance, walk, and contemplation.
Each summer, the Festival Terre d'Accord(s) presents five events between July and August, each featuring a different artistic discipline or ensemble: classical music (Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven), world music, contemporary dance, theater, storytelling, and folk music.
The 2025 edition, the third of its kind, welcomed Reder Noujah (drums and violin with Caucasian inspiration), Tutti Flutti (female flute sextet performing Bach, Vivaldi, Bizet, and Piazzolla), international cellist Éric Maria Couturier (Bach suites and improvisations, in partnership with Les Musicales de Normandie), the Compagnie Impact (choreographed dance in the garden), and the Travelbaghs Trio Folk (three female voices, piano, mandolins, and ukulele).
Each performance is conceived as a unique creation, specifically designed for the garden, with complete artistic freedom granted to the performers. The audience, limited in number, moves through the garden, discovering the sculptural works while experiencing the musical or choreographic performance.
Located in La Chapelle-sur-Dun, a village of 350 inhabitants a few kilometers from Veules-les-Roses and Saint-Valery-en-Caux, the Terre d'Accord garden offers an exceptional setting. Performances are held in the late afternoon or evening, taking advantage of the low summer light of Normandy on the sculptures and vegetation. The festival benefits from the support of the Municipality of La Chapelle-sur-Dun, the Communauté de Communes de la Côte d'Albâtre, and the Department of Seine-Maritime.
Terre d'Accord(s) embodies a demanding vision of culture in a rural setting: top-tier artists in an intimate and unique location, a direct encounter between art and nature, far from standardized festival formats.
The 4th edition of the Festival Terre d'Accord(s) takes place from July 4 to August 21, 2026, in the art garden of sculptor Robert Arnoux, in La Chapelle-sur-Dun, Seine-Maritime. Six immersive artistic events — music, theatre for young audiences, classical theatre — take over this two-hectare landscaped park, from the guitar-flute-cello of Trio Alkemia (July 4) to Musset directed by Émilie Lacoste (August 21), including flutist Naïssam Jalal in partnership with Les Musicales de Normandie (July 30).
The Festival Terre d'Accord(s) returns for its 4th edition with six events staggered between July 4 and August 21, 2026, in Robert Arnoux's art garden in La Chapelle-sur-Dun. True to its format, the festival brings together live arts — chamber music, jazz, theatre for young audiences, and classical theatre — with the monumental sculptures and vegetation of the park.
The 2026 program opens on Saturday, July 4 with the Trio Alkemia, three young musicians (guitar, flute, and cello), as part of the Festival du Lin et de la Fibre artistique. On Thursday, July 16, the Compagnie In Fine presents [Fexi], an interactive and sensory show for very young audiences (0-6 years old). On Friday, July 17, Dieppe-based cellist and singer Martina Rodriguez presents Un violoncelle voyageur, a musical map blending classical, contemporary repertoire, and childhood songs.
On Thursday, July 30, the multi-award-winning flutist and composer Naïssam Jalal is welcomed in partnership with Les Musicales de Normandie. On Friday, August 7, the duo Monica Shaka & Sydney Rodriguez (jazz vocals and guitar) closes the musical section. The festival concludes on Friday, August 21 with On ne badine pas avec l'Amour by Alfred de Musset, directed by Émilie Lacoste (Théâtre et Patrimoine), in a semi-circular scenography in the heart of the garden.
The festival takes place at the Terre d'Accord art garden, 118 & 309 rue du Puits, 76740 La Chapelle-sur-Dun.
