A festival born from a passion for wind band music
The Festival Tours en Harmonies is an initiative of the Société Musicale de Tours-sur-Marne, an association dedicated to the practice and promotion of wind band music. For its first edition in 2025, the association took on the challenge of bringing together ten of the finest orchestras from the Champagne region on the same site, thus creating a major musical event in this wine-growing village in the Montagne de Reims.
Ten orchestras gathered for an exceptional concert
The festival hosts ten wind orchestras from all over Champagne: the orchestras of Mardeuil, Magenta, Avize, l'Avenir Musique, Les Tonneliers d'Épernay, Sézanne, Fromentières, Ludes, Sainte-Ménéhould, and Tours-sur-Marne. Each ensemble brings its own repertoire, offering great musical diversity ranging from jazz to symphonic, including more popular pieces like brass bands and serenades. The highlight of the show is the grand finale bringing the 200 musicians together on stage.
Seven hours of open-air music
Located on the esplanade of the Tours-sur-Marne stadium, the festival offers seven hours of continuous music, from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The orchestras perform one after another throughout the day in a bucolic setting, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims vineyards. Access is completely free and without reservation, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality typical of village festivals.
Promoting Champagne's musical heritage
The Festival Tours en Harmonies highlights the rich musical heritage of Champagne's wind orchestras. These ensembles, often centuries old, are an essential part of local cultural life. The festival fosters exchanges between musicians of all ages and generations around a varied and festive repertoire, thus contributing to the transmission and renewal of this popular musical tradition.
