The biggest Breton gathering around the crêpe in Gourin
The Fête de la Crêpe is a festive and gourmet event held every year on the last weekend of July at the Château de Tronjoly in Gourin. Since 1993, this festival has celebrated the Breton crêpe "Mod Gourin" in a 25-hectare park with a program combining tastings, the world's largest crêpe contest, concerts, fest-noz, fest-deiz, and activities for the whole family.
Since 1993, the Fête de la Crêpe (in Breton: Fest ar C'hrampouezh) has brought together thousands of visitors every summer at the Château de Tronjoly in Gourin to celebrate the Breton crêpe in all its diversity. A flagship event in central Brittany, this gourmet and festive celebration unfolds over a weekend in a 25-hectare park.
The "Mod Gourin" crêpe is a local specialty that the town is proud of. Made according to a traditional recipe, it is prepared on 'biligs' (crêpe griddles) by passionate crêpe makers. During the festival, dozens of stands offer crêpe tastings in all forms: sweet, savory, flambéed, or filled.
A highlight of the festival, the world's largest crêpe contest is an impressive spectacle that draws all eyes. Crêpe makers compete to make the largest possible crêpe on a giant 'bilig', in an atmosphere of collective challenge and good humor.
The Fête de la Crêpe is not limited to gastronomy. The program includes:
The Château de Tronjoly, a historic residence in Gourin, provides an exceptional setting for the Fête de la Crêpe.
