Founded over fifteen years ago, Musique à Groix combines a concert festival and an international summer music academy on the island of Groix, an island gem in Morbihan located off the coast of Lorient. The event takes place every summer from mid-July to mid-August, transforming the island into a true musical setting.

The International Summer Academy

Auditions are organized daily, and a concert by the professors as well as a final concert for the students mark the end of the session.

Access to the island of Groix
By sea
The island of Groix is accessible from Lorient by the Compagnie Océane. The crossing takes approximately 45 minutes. Several return trips are made each day, with increased frequency in the summer. It is strongly recommended to book tickets in advance during high season.
Getting to Lorient
Lorient is served by the TGV high-speed train from Paris (3.5 hours), Rennes (1.5 hours), and Nantes (2 hours). The ferry terminal is accessible on foot or by bus from the Lorient SNCF train station.
