The Fête de la Musique of Brunoy: open-air concerts at Place de la Mairie, Île de Brunoy, and in the city's neighborhoods
Brunoy is a town in Essonne with about 26,000 inhabitants, known for its green setting, its island in the middle of the Yerres river, and its beautiful heritage. Every June 21st, the town celebrates music spectacularly, with a dense program running from noon until night, on several stages and in various locations throughout the municipality.
The Fête de la Musique in Brunoy stands out for its multiple stages:
Brunoy maintains a strong relationship with music throughout the year. The Festival de l'Orgue de Brunoy, a renowned event in Essonne, showcases the grand organ of the Saint-Médard church. The town also has an active music school and numerous musical associations.
The Île de Brunoy, in the heart of the Yerres river, is one of the most charming green spaces in the municipality. Ideal for walks and picnics, it transforms into a festive space during the Fête de la Musique and other summer events. The guinguette set up on the island evokes the impressionist paintings of the banks of the Yerres.
Le ZEF is Brunoy's municipal cultural space, offering concerts, shows, and events throughout the year. During the Fête de la Musique, it becomes an open-air stage hosting local and regional bands. The Médiathèque Tomi Ungerer also contributes to the town's cultural life.
The 2025 Fête de la Musique in Brunoy offered a rich and inclusive program, from noon until the heart of the night: vocal workshop at Maison du Coin (noon), aperitif concert at the media library, youth stage at Le Studio (2 p.m.–6 p.m.), guinguette at Île de Brunoy, violin concerts at Jardin Monmartel (4 p.m.–5 p.m.), musical evening at Le ZEF (Jakama, Pretend Play, Jammin, from 7 p.m.), and pop-rock concert by Oxyriff at Place de la Mairie (from 8:30 p.m.). Free admission.
The 2026 Fête de la Musique in Brunoy is scheduled for around June 21, 2026. The full program will be announced on brunoy.fr. Free concerts, multiple stages, and a festive atmosphere are guaranteed.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Brunoy takes place on Sunday, June 21st, 2026, from 2 PM to 11 PM, throughout the city. Voted the most musical city in France, Brunoy offers a rich and varied program — pop, rock, rap, classical, electro — on several outdoor stages.
Big novelty for 2026: a family day on Île de Brunoy, starting at 2 PM, with numerous activities for all ages; at 6 PM, a DJ livens up the evening on the banks of the Yerres. At Le Studio (1 PM-5 PM), young Brunoy residents take up guitars, drums, and microphones to perform, alone or in groups, on the small stage. At Place de la Mairie (6 PM-11 PM), various Brunoy groups perform in succession and food trucks are set up. At Jean Merlette school (7 PM-11 PM), the Ambition association partners with Relais Jeunes to offer a great musical stage.
As an opening, on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 3 PM, an open piano stage is offered at Le Nuage Bleu, at the Tomi Ungerer media library, as part of the Fête de la Musique: amateur or experienced pianists are invited to share their melodies (registration required).
