Fête de la Musique d'Avranches

An entire city on stage on June 21, 2026

For this 2026 edition, the City of Avranches is spreading the Fête de la Musique throughout the entire town center, from the ramparts to Place Littré, including Place Saint-Aubert, the market square, and the main shopping streets. The day kicks off at 1:00 PM and the final sets will run until 1:00 AM. Streets, squares, and café terraces will share the program, featuring both local amateur and professional artists.

Rock, jazz, Celtic music, and African percussion

The program is wonderfully eclectic. Under the ramparts, the terrace of PlaceToBeer will feature the gypsy jazz of the Franco-Czech trio Les gars d'en bas, the rock of young local band Teen Spirit, and the rock-folk of IAN, a South-Manche sextet led by Ian Dily. At Place Saint-Aubert, Les Pieds au Plancher and Plein d'Airs will hold the stage for ten hours with a repertoire of traditional Celtic and folk music. At the market square, in front of the Maison de la Sirène, the Breezy Brass Quintet will perform a 100% acoustic concert of standards and French classics.

Street stages and roving performances

On Rue des Chapeliers, singer Marine will open the evening at Ô Vercoquin before DJ Mello takes over until the end of the night. The Square des Chapeliers will host the pop-rock and French variety group RDJ, the St Marco pizzeria will feature the Black Duke trio, and Café Héon will host an outdoor DJ set. Meanwhile, the Marcey-les-Grèves batucada will parade through the streets—Rue du Pot d'Étain, Rue des 3 Rois, Rue Saint-Gervais, Rue Valhubert, Rue de la Constitution, and Rue d'Islande—all the way to Place d'Estouteville, before Ayan Tolo closes the roving performances with African dance and percussion.

Sports and interactive activities at Place Littré

Place Littré will be dedicated to sports and interactive fun in the late afternoon, featuring a Kangoo Jump demonstration and workshop, followed by Zumba and line dancing with Gym Oxygène, before the festive, all-style covers by Les Chaotiques take over in the early evening.
