About Fête de la Musique in Armentières
Each year around June 21, Armentières celebrates the Fête de la Musique: DJ sets, live bands, harmonies, choirs, and music schools animate the city center, bars, and squares for free. Organized by the City of Armentières and the commercial union Armentières Shopping, the festival is entirely free and open to all, in a friendly atmosphere in the heart of Flanders.
The Fête de la Musique in Armentières
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Armentières into an open-air stage around June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from city center bars and terraces to cultural facility gardens, from mid-afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A festival spread throughout the city
For the 2026 edition, the festival unfolds over several days and locations: the Armentières Shopping commercial fair enlivens the city center in the afternoon, bars and restaurants host DJ sets and live bands in the evening, while the École de musique, the Choral armentiérois, and the municipal symphony orchestra complete the program in the city's gardens and halls. You'll find DJs as well as pop-rock bands, choirs, and a cinema-concert.

The 2026 Fête de la Musique in Armentières will be celebrated around Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the city. The main event takes place on Saturday, June 20th in the city center (trade fair and concerts in bars), extended on the following days by the music school's aperitif-concert, a cine-concert, and an open rehearsal of the Choral armentiérois.
