Just like everywhere else in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique takes over the streets of Lisieux with free performances. In 2026, the city has moved the celebration to Saturday, June 20th, so that families, residents, and visitors can make the most of the festivities; bars and restaurants are welcome to continue the celebrations on Sunday, June 21st.
Previous editions have featured stages at Place François Mitterrand and the Salle Mosaïc, with concerts held in the courtyard of the Hôtel de Ville, on the square in front of the Espace Saint-Jacques, at the Jardin de l'Évêché bandstand, in the Conservatoire courtyard, and throughout the bars in the town center.
