Fête de la Musique 2026
The Fête de la Musique 2026 returns to Romorantin-Lanthenay on Sunday, June 21st, 2026. The City launches its traditional call for musicians to build a rich and diverse program, mixing rock, French chanson, jazz, world music, and brass bands on the sites of Place de la Paix, Île de la Motte, and the Library Garden.

Locations of the Musical Route
- Place de la Paix: City center of Romorantin-Lanthenay, opposite the Town Hall. Main stage with the most important concerts.
- Île de la Motte: Natural site on the banks of the Sauldre river, accessible on foot from the city center in 5 minutes. Shaded setting ideal for acoustic concerts.
- Library Garden: Rue du Milieu, near the media library. Intimate space for small ensembles.
Date and Times
The Fête de la Musique is held every year on June 21st, from late afternoon to late evening. Precise times and the detailed program per stage are communicated on the City of Romorantin-Lanthenay website a few weeks before the event. Concerts follow one another without interruption on the three sites.

Free admission on all sites. No ticketing, no reservation required.
Food and Drink
Food and drink stalls are set up on the main sites, particularly on the Place de la Paix and near the Île de la Motte. Restaurants and bars in the city center also participate in the festival with open terraces and special offers for the evening.
In Case of High Heat
The City provides drinking water stations at the various locations of the musical route. In case of heatwave or high temperatures, some concerts planned in exposed areas are moved to the shade of the trees on the Île de la Motte. It is recommended to bring water, a hat, and sunscreen.
Call for Musicians
Each year, the City of Romorantin-Lanthenay publishes a call for musicians to participate in the program. Bands and artists wishing to perform can contact the cultural department of the town hall.

- By Car: Free parking in the center of Romorantin-Lanthenay, in immediate proximity to the Place de la Paix. Access via D724 from Blois or D922 from Vierzon.

The main sites of the Fête de la Musique are accessible to people with reduced mobility. The Île de la Motte has practicable paths. Volunteers are present to assist people with disabilities.
