Mennecy en Fête: the town's big annual festival

Mennecy is a town in Essonne with approximately 14,000 inhabitants, located in the heart of the Seine valley, between Corbeil-Essonnes and Évry. The town is known for its green setting, its Parc de Villeroy, and the Fête du Safran, but its main summer event remains Mennecy en Fête, organized annually around July 14th.

Three days of festivities

The event takes place from July 12th to 14th at the Stade Jean-Jacques Robert:

• Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th (2 PM–9 PM): funfair with rides and attractions, entertainment for children and families, food stalls with local associations
• Monday, July 14th (2 PM–midnight): continuation of the funfair with its attractions, then at dusk, fireworks at the Parc de Villeroy and festivities until midnight

Admission is free for all municipal events. Funfair rides and attractions are subject to a fee.

Parc de Villeroy: Mennecy's green heart

The Parc de Villeroy is the green lung of Mennecy. This large, landscaped natural space hosts many municipal events: Fête de la Musique (June 21st), Christmas Market (late November), July 14th fireworks, and various entertainments. Its pleasant setting makes it a popular place for residents to gather and socialize.

Fête de la Musique in Mennecy

On June 21st, the Parc de Villeroy hosts Mennecy's Fête de la Musique, organized by the Val d'Essonne Community of Communes. Free concerts are held from 5 PM to 11:30 PM, with an eclectic program covering many musical styles. The event brings together people of all generations.

The Christmas Market

At the end of the year, the Christmas Market (late November at Parc de Villeroy) offers a mini-fair, musical entertainment, a Christmas parade, fireworks, pony rides, themed streets with workshops and artisans. A very popular event for families.

The Safran Festival

Mennecy is also known for its Fête du Safran, which celebrates local saffron production and the agricultural traditions of the Essonne region each autumn.

2025 Edition

Mennecy en Fête was held on July 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2025 at the Stade Jean-Jacques Robert. Funfair on Saturday and Sunday (2 PM–9 PM), then on Monday, July 14th (2 PM–midnight) with fireworks at the Parc de Villeroy. The Fête de la Musique was held on June 21st (5 PM–11:30 PM) at the Parc de Villeroy. Free admission for all municipal events.

2026 Edition

Mennecy en Fête 2026 will be held around July 14th, at the Stade Jean-Jacques Robert. Funfair, family entertainment, and fireworks are planned. The Fête de la Musique will return to Parc de Villeroy on June 21st. Full program on mennecy.fr.
