2026 edition of the Saint-Louis Festival in Sète (Hérault), from August 19th to 25th, 2026. A week of maritime festivities centered around Languedoc jousting on the Cadre Royal, with concerts, entertainment, the swimming crossing of Sète, and a closing fireworks display.
Saint-Louis Festival 2026 in Sète
The Saint-Louis, a tradition over 350 years old linked to the creation of the port of Sète (1666), takes place from August 19th to 25th, 2026. For a week, the city transforms into a theater of festivities centered around its famous Languedoc nautical jousts.
The jousters compete by categories on the Cadre Royal, from the tournament for the youngest to the prestigious Tournoi des Lourds (Heavyweights Tournament), the highlight of the year, scheduled for Monday, August 24th. Parades of jousters in traditional attire accompanied by oboes and tambourines, concerts (variety, rock, rap), street shows, dances, bodegas, and family entertainment punctuate the week. The swimming crossing of Sète and various sports tournaments (boules, tennis) complete the program.
The festivities conclude on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, with a grand fireworks display fired at 10:00 PM.
