The big festive event of Pamiers

Every year, at the end of August and beginning of September, the city of Pamiers lives to the rhythm of its Festivals, a popular event that brings together thousands of people for four days. Organized by the City of Pamiers and the Festival Committee, these festivities mark the end of the Ariège summer with a rich and varied program combining concerts, dances, street entertainment, and fairground attractions.

Prestigious concerts on the Plateau du Castella

The Plateau du Castella, an emblematic venue of the Fêtes de Pamiers, hosts the major concerts of the weekend. Nationally renowned artists perform every year in front of thousands of spectators. The 2024 edition notably hosted Les Gipsy Kings and Jean-Baptiste Guégan, while the 2025 edition featured Michel Fugain and Patrick Fiori. These ticketed concerts are the highlight of the festivities.

Free dances, orchestras, and entertainment

In parallel with the major concerts, the Place de la République hosts free orchestras and popular dances every evening. Variety, musette, and retro orchestras liven up the evenings from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., inviting all generations to dance. DJ sets extend the party until the end of the night. The Festival Committee also organizes free concerts in the city center, creating an omnipresent festive atmosphere.

Rides, attractions, and funfair

The funfair sets up in the streets of Pamiers for the delight of families. Rides, bumper cars, shooting galleries, and candy stalls create a traditional fair atmosphere. Children enjoy the attractions while adults stroll among the churros, cotton candy, and candy apple stands. The Fêtes de Pamiers are a true moment of intergenerational sharing that strengthens the Pamiers community.
