Every year, at the end of August and beginning of September, the city of Pamiers lives to the rhythm of its Festivals, a popular event that brings together thousands of people for four days. Organized by the City of Pamiers and the Festival Committee, these festivities mark the end of the Ariège summer with a rich and varied program combining concerts, dances, street entertainment, and fairground attractions.
Prestigious concerts on the Plateau du Castella
The Plateau du Castella, an emblematic venue of the Fêtes de Pamiers, hosts the major concerts of the weekend. Nationally renowned artists perform every year in front of thousands of spectators. The 2024 edition notably hosted Les Gipsy Kings and Jean-Baptiste Guégan, while the 2025 edition featured Michel Fugain and Patrick Fiori. These ticketed concerts are the highlight of the festivities.
Free dances, orchestras, and entertainment
In parallel with the major concerts, the Place de la République hosts free orchestras and popular dances every evening. Variety, musette, and retro orchestras liven up the evenings from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., inviting all generations to dance. DJ sets extend the party until the end of the night. The Festival Committee also organizes free concerts in the city center, creating an omnipresent festive atmosphere.
Rides, attractions, and funfair
The funfair sets up in the streets of Pamiers for the delight of families. Rides, bumper cars, shooting galleries, and candy stalls create a traditional fair atmosphere. Children enjoy the attractions while adults stroll among the churros, cotton candy, and candy apple stands. The Fêtes de Pamiers are a true moment of intergenerational sharing that strengthens the Pamiers community.
Fêtes de Pamiers — edition 2026
The Pamiers Festival 2026 takes place from August 28th to 31st. A festive back-to-school event in Ariège, it combines major paid concerts on the Plateau du Castella (Superbus on August 28th, Sheila on August 29th), free popular dances and orchestras on the Place de la République, a funfair, and entertainment for all audiences.
Pamiers Festival 2026
The Pamiers Festival returns from August 28th to 31st, 2026, organized by the City of Pamiers and the Festival Committee. The Plateau du Castella hosts the paid headliners, the Place de la République vibrates to the sound of free orchestras and popular dances, and the funfair sets up in the heart of the city.
For 2026, two major evenings are confirmed at the Plateau du Castella: the pop-rock group Superbus on Friday, August 28th, and the icon of French song Sheila on Saturday, August 29th. A shuttle service is provided before and after the concerts to reach and leave the Plateau du Castella.

Friday, August 28th, 2026 — Plateau du Castella
- 9:00 PM — Superbus · Cult pop-rock band back on stage (free seating, PRM area in the pit). Site opens at 7:00 PM.
Saturday, August 29th, 2026 — Plateau du Castella
- 9:00 PM — Sheila · Icon of French song and disco, new show bringing together all generations (free seating, PRM area in the pit). Site opens at 7:00 PM.
In parallel, throughout the Festival (August 28th to 31st): free orchestras and popular dances on the Place de la République, funfair and entertainment in the city center. The detailed program of free evenings will be announced during the summer by the Festival Committee.
