The essential jazz event in Eure-et-Loir since 1993
Jazz de Mars is a jazz festival that has been electrifying Eure-et-Loir every spring since 1993. Organized by the association Jazz en Réseau, this musical event offers a diverse program for over a month, blending jazz, blues, soul, swing, funk, and world music, in various venues across the department: theaters, concert halls, cafes, heritage sites, and unusual locations. With over 30 editions under its belt, Jazz de Mars has established itself as a historic festival in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
Since 1993, the Jazz de Mars festival has been the unmissable event for jazz lovers in Eure-et-Loir. For over a month, from March to April, the department vibrates to the rhythm of groove, swing, blues, soul, and jazz in all its forms, with a program that celebrates eclecticism and the fusion of musical genres.
One of the unique features of Jazz de Mars is its traveling nature. Concerts take place in various locations throughout the department: the Théâtre de Dreux, Christie's in Chartres, cultural centers like the TOM in Saint-Georges-sur-Eure, heritage sites like the Moulin de Plateau in Saint-Prest, and intimate venues in rural communes. This diversity of locations allows us to reach a wide audience and bring jazz culture to life throughout the Eure-et-Loir territory.
Each edition of Jazz de Mars brings together renowned national and international artists alongside local and emerging talents. Over the years, the festival has hosted top-tier musicians and continues to offer bold discoveries. The 2025 program notably featured Julien Lourau, Erik Truffaz, Alain Jean-Marie, and Cecilya, demonstrating the festival's artistic excellence.
Beyond concerts, Jazz de Mars offers masterclasses, workshops, and artist meet-and-greets, allowing the public to discover jazz and share special moments with the musicians.
The festival is driven by the association Jazz en Réseau, chaired by Nicole Giraudo, which has been working for over three decades to promote jazz culture in Eure-et-Loir. The association unites a network of venues, partners, and volunteers that makes this musical adventure possible throughout the department.
The 32nd edition of Jazz de Mars will be held from March 6 to April 10, 2026. The program highlights a strong presence of female musicians with Rhoda Scott, Lea Maria Fries, Anne Paceo, Cissy Street, and Cecil L. Recchia, alongside Ceux qui marchent debout, Fabien Mary, Uptight, and Nirek Mokar.
