KiddySaône

A family festival to kick off summer

Created in 2024, KiddySaône is a free festival dedicated to young audiences and families, organized by the town of Auxonne in early July to celebrate the start of the summer holidays. From its very first edition, the festival has shown its ambition: to offer a rich and varied cultural program, entirely free and accessible to all, to awaken the artistic creativity of young people and create social bonds in the Val de Saône region.

Shows, workshops, and activities for everyone

KiddySaône's program is designed for all ages, with a wide variety of activities: 10 shows (singing, theater, circus, dance), creative workshops (manga drawing, wood painting, book folding), fun activities (wooden games, board games), and introductions (recording fake commercials, introduction to journalism, animation training). Workshops are held at the Halles and on the Place d'Armes in Auxonne.

Conferences and awareness

Beyond entertainment, KiddySaône also offers conferences for parents and educators. In 2025, a conference on "The Dangers of Screens" was scheduled for Friday evening at the Salle Empire (1h30 duration), addressing a societal issue at the heart of family concerns.

An inclusive and unifying project

The Auxonne media library actively participates in the festival by offering manga workshops, exhibitions, reading breaks, and free-access games. The festival's objectives include awakening the artistic creativity of young people, diversifying experiences, creating community ties, promoting regional art, and promoting inclusion by ensuring a project that is entirely free and accessible to all.
