Kiosq'N'Rock: Rock and Air Guitar in Mirande
Kiosq'N'Rock is a unique festival, blending rock concerts and air guitar competitions on the Place d'Astarac in Mirande. Since 2015, it has become a festive and quirky event in the Gers musical landscape.
French Air Guitar Championship
The festival hosts the final of the French Air Guitar Championship, a spectacular competition where contestants mime guitar playing with energy and creativity. The semi-finals and the final take place during the festival, under the watchful eye of a jury presided over by a celebrity.
Rock Concerts
Three evenings of free concerts feature tributes (Pixies, System of a Down) and original rock, punk, metal, and garage bands. DJ sets extend the evenings late into the night.
Free and Friendly Festival
Kiosq'N'Rock is completely free and open to all. Food and drinks are available on-site. The festival also offers a festival shop and record stalls.
Kiosq'N'Rock — edition 2026
The 12th edition of Kiosq'N'Rock takes place from Thursday, August 6 to Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the heart of Mirande (Gers), around the bandstand in Place de la République. This entirely free rock and metal festival hosts the final of the French Air Guitar Championship, concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, stalls, refreshment stands, and food trucks.
Kiosq'N'Rock 2026 — 12th edition in Mirande
From August 6 to 8, 2026, Mirande's Place de la République transforms into a rock and metal stage for three festive and entirely free evenings. Organized by the Kiosq'N'Rock association, the festival combines concerts, cover bands (tribute bands), DJ sets until the end of the night, and the highly anticipated highlight: the final of the French Air Guitar Championship.
On the program: Iron Maiden and Rammstein tribute bands, rock, death metal, and metalcore bands, a giant blind-test, a screening session, and even an Air Guitar Kids edition for the youngest. Concerts, stalls, refreshment stands, and on-site catering complete the atmosphere.
