L'Émoi Sonore

A human-sized festival of musical discoveries

L'Émoi Sonore is a contemporary music festival born in 2023 in Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton, supported by the association La Ruche & le Silo and the city's cultural department. For two days at the end of August, this human-sized festival offers an eclectic and demanding musical program, far from conventional formats: punk chanson, introspective rap, soul, electro, pop, rock, garage punk, and world music coexist in an atmosphere of curiosity and sharing.

An audacious and passionate program

Rather than relying on formatted headliners, L'Émoi Sonore prioritizes musical discovery and the pleasure of meeting. The festival has hosted artists such as Bob's NoT Dead (punk chanson influenced by Renaud and Les Têtes Raides), Flying Blanket Mystery (explosive garage punk), Alien (introspective rap with piano), as well as groups playing reggae, celtic punk rock, hip-hop, and French chanson. Each edition offers a renewed program reflecting the vitality of independent contemporary music.

A festive event in the heart of Verneuil

The festival unfolds across several venues and formats: a walking band parades through the town center of Verneuil to create a festive atmosphere, a musical show for young audiences is offered at the media library for the little ones, and the main concert evening takes place at Le Silo, an emblematic venue for Verneuil's cultural life. The event is driven by values of sharing, curiosity, and conviviality, with a desire to make contemporary music accessible to everyone in a rural area.
