A film festival for the youngest
Created in 2005 by UFFEJ Bretagne, L'Oeil Vagabond is a film festival dedicated to young audiences that travels through the towns of Côtes-d'Armor and occasionally Ille-et-Vilaine every autumn. The festival spans several weeks, from October to December, with screenings in municipal halls, cinemas, and cultural spaces in towns such as Plédran, Pléneuf-Val-André, Hillion, Saint-Brieuc, Loudéac, Callac, Paimpol, and Binic-Étables-sur-Mer.
A multidisciplinary program
L'Oeil Vagabond is not limited to film screenings. The festival offers:
- Film screenings adapted by age group: short films, feature films, animated films, and documentaries, from age 3.
- Live performances related to cinema and images.
- Workshops introducing image techniques: animation, sound effects, special effects, stop-motion.
- Fun games and activities designed by UFFEJ Bretagne to discover the world of cinema in a fun way.
The program is aimed at children as well as teenagers and adults, with screenings for all audiences and opportunities to meet artists.
Plédran, the festival's historic venue
The Horizon hall in Plédran is one of the festival's emblematic venues, regularly hosting screenings and activities. It is in this town, near Saint-Brieuc, that L'Oeil Vagabond has found one of its most loyal bases, contributing to the cultural life of the region.
