A Tumbera di Rennu is the great traditional fair dedicated to Corsican pork and charcuterie from the island. Created in 1986, it is held annually on the first weekend of February at Col Saint-Roch, in Renno (Corse-du-Sud), in the heart of Deux-Sorru. For 2026, the edition was held on February 7 and 8, from 9 am to 6 pm.
"A Tumbera" refers to the ancestral tradition of pig slaughter, still perpetuated in most Corsican villages: pork meat and fat were once consumed all year round in the form of prisuttu (ham), figatelli, coppa or sangui (blood sausage). The fair brings together producers and artisans to promote and transmit this charcuterie know-how, with a view to AOC recognition for Corsican charcuterie.
An unmissable event of the Corsican winter, A Tumbera di Rennu takes place every first weekend of February at Col Saint-Roch, in the commune of Renno (20160), in Corse-du-Sud. The 2026 edition (21st edition) took place on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 9 am to 6 pm.
The "tumbera" is the traditional period of pig slaughter, deeply rooted in the life of Corsican villages. The fair celebrates this gastronomic heritage around the island's great specialties: prisuttu (dry-cured ham), figatelli, coppa, lonzu, sangui (blood sausage), but also brocciu and chestnut flour pulenta.
Discovery of products and meeting with producers and artisans, culinary demonstrations led by Cucina Corsa, traditional lunch (pulenta, brocciu and figatelli), musical entertainment and, around 4 pm, the traditional auction of the cut pig.
