Since 2015, the Les Agités du Mélange festival has made Fresnes-sur-Escaut, a former mining town in the Valenciennois region, a hub of artistic effervescence for a weekend in June. Born from the merger of two local events, the Festival du Mélange and Agitation Générale, it embodies a spirit of creative freedom and genre-bending.
Three Days of Discovery on Two Stages
The festival unfolds at the quARTier, Fresnes-sur-Escaut's cultural venue, with two stages hosting a deliberately eclectic program:
- Contemporary Music: rock, electro, hip-hop, chanson, folk, world music, and experimental sound creations.
- Visual Arts: exhibitions, installations, and open-air visual performances.
- Performances and Shows: theater, dance, circus, and hybrid forms.
- Unusual Encounters: quirky talks, participatory workshops, and surprising activities.
