Pastoral, artistic and musical festival in Guillestre, between culture and sustainable agriculture
Since 2015, the festival Les Artgricoles has taken over the Auberge de Jeunesse « Entre Guil et Mets » in Guillestre every spring, at the foot of Queyras and the Guil valley, in the Hautes-Alpes. Supported by the association L'Échoooo, this pastoral and joyful event brings together artists, producers, artisans, and residents around a common project: celebrating culture and sustainable agriculture in rural and mountainous areas.
The artistic program of Les Artgricoles features live music, street arts, and festive parades. On Friday evening, concerts and shows liven up the night in a friendly and family atmosphere. On Saturday, activities continue during the day with outdoor games, participatory workshops, screenings, exhibitions, and parading shows that animate the site throughout the day. In the evening, concerts resume under the alpine stars.
A highlight of Saturday, the producers' and artisans' market is at the heart of Les Artgricoles' identity. Local producers from Guillestrois, Queyras, and the surrounding valleys present their know-how: cheeses, honeys, jams, cured meats, wines, aromatic plants, and artisanal creations. This market embodies the festival's philosophy: to weave links between culture and terroir, between artists and farmers, between visitors and residents.
Les Artgricoles defends two founding values: access to culture for all and the promotion of sustainable agriculture. The market and daytime activities are free to access, with collections for the shows. Evening concerts have a low-price entry of 10 euros (free for minors), ensuring accessibility for all audiences. A bar and catering area offers local and seasonal products, extending the approach of valuing the alpine terroir.
Located in the heart of a mountain region between the Queyras Regional Natural Park and the Écrins massif, Les Artgricoles contributes to the cultural and social vitality of Guillestrois. The festival unites volunteers, families, local associations, and agricultural stakeholders around a moment of sharing and discovery. Each edition is an opportunity to raise public awareness about the challenges of ecology, responsible food, and living together in rural areas.
The 12th edition of Les Artgricoles took place on May 14, 15, and 16, 2026 at the « Entre Guil et Mets » Youth Hostel in Guillestre (Hautes-Alpes). For the first time since the festival's creation in 2015, the edition was extended to three days instead of two, with the addition of a Thursday specially dedicated to families.
Doors opened at 2 PM with free entry. A mini-farm, tree climbing, slackline, workshops, a chill-out corner, wooden games, and a refreshment stand set the pace for the family afternoon. The company La Petite Histoire offered its nature storytelling walk with pack donkeys, followed by a kids' disco animated by DJ Nipetto.
A day dedicated to the very local goat industry: visit to the slaughterhouse and processing workshop, cheese factory, tasting. The afternoon hosted the immersive show Loumne, followed by the itinerant brass band Les Oiseaux de Trottoir. From 6 PM (10 € adults, free for minors), the evening featured Blueberries, Ce Chicken Street, Maggy Bolle, the committed rap of 2Beshlag, the theatrical DJ set La Baboucke et Le Chariot, the soundsystem dance party of Les Louves du Groove, and Lebonk.
A highlight of the festival, the market of producers and artisans from Guillestrois, Queyras, and surrounding valleys took over the site during the day (free entry). The young audience show Bruital Cie — Wanted at 4 PM, followed by a rock-blues-electro program in the evening: Reverend Beat-Man & Milan Slick (Swiss-American garage rock'n'roll one-man band), Glasserock (local band winner of the Mix Qué 2026 competition), and Acid Guru closing the night.
True to its founding values — access to culture for all and the promotion of sustainable agriculture — this 12th edition maintained free entry for daytime activities and a minimum price of 10 € for evening concerts (free for minors). Bar and catering on site with local and seasonal products, possibility to camp on site (5 € per night/person).
The festival takes place at the Auberge de Jeunesse « Entre Guil et Mets », route des Campings, 05600 Guillestre.
