About Les Automnales
ℹ️ Festival discontinued. Les Automnales de Ballainvilliers, an international guitar festival, is no longer active. Established in 2006 by the Ballainvilliers Town Hall, the event brought together guitarists, instrument makers, and music lovers for three days in the park and halls of the Château de Ballainvilliers, in Essonne (91). The last documented edition was the 7th, held from September 21 to 23, 2012. There are no reports of the festival returning since then.
The program featured free concerts on the outdoor park stage, indoor acoustic performances, a luthier exhibition in the chapel, masterclasses, and a cabaret evening at the Salle des Daunettes.

Rates
Access to the festival site, outdoor concerts, acoustic concerts, luthier salon, and masterclasses were free. The Friday night cabaret was a ticketed event: presale €15 for adults and €10 for children under 10; on-site €20 for adults and €10 for children under 10 (2012 rates).

Les Automnales de Ballainvilliers, international guitar festival
Launched in 2006 by the Ballainvilliers Town Hall, Les Automnales de Ballainvilliers brought together guitarists, luthiers, and the public for seven editions at the Château de Ballainvilliers, in Essonne. The festival is no longer held; the last documented edition was the 7th, from September 21 to 23, 2012.
For three days, the festival took over the park and rooms of the château at 17 rue du Général Leclerc, as well as the Salle des Daunettes at 6 chemin d'Aunette. It featured four main formats: outdoor park stage concerts, indoor acoustic sets, masterclasses, and a luthier salon. Everything was free except for the Friday night cabaret at the Salle des Daunettes.
The Luthier Salon
Housed in the château's chapel, the luthier salon was the festival's historic highlight. Guitar makers exhibited their instruments and shared the journey of a guitar, from the forest to the musician's hands.

On Saturday night, the Bar de l'Hôtel de Ville provided food and drinks, while Le Saint Sauveur bar hosted live music.
A discontinued festival
No editions have been documented since 2012. On its website, the Ballainvilliers Town Hall refers to the festival in the past tense: "For several years, the Festival des Automnales brought together musicians and luthiers around the guitar." The municipal calendar, which runs through September 2026, no longer mentions it. The festival's domain name, automnales-ballainvilliers.fr, has changed hands and now hosts an unrelated website.
