Festival of contemporary music, atypical and eclectic on the Mont de Cerisy
Les Bichoiseries is an atypical and eclectic contemporary music festival held every summer on the exceptional site of Mont de Cerisy in Cerisy-Belle-Étoile in the Orne region. Since 2007, this family-friendly festival has programmed national and international renowned artists alongside local talents, advocating for access to culture for all. With nearly 10,000 festival-goers at each edition, Les Bichoiseries has established itself as one of the flagship festivals of the Norman music scene, combining artistic quality, conviviality, and accessibility.
Since 2007, the Les Bichoiseries festival has taken over the Mont de Cerisy every summer, an exceptional natural site overlooking the Norman countryside, for two days of contemporary music and festive entertainment. This atypical and eclectic festival has forged a strong identity in the cultural landscape of Normandy.
Les Bichoiseries stands out with a program that mixes national and international renowned artists with local discoveries. The 2025 edition, the 18th of its name, notably hosted MC Solaar, Cali, Meute, Féfé, Bagarre, Johnny Mafia, and Déportivo, confirming the festival's ability to attract top headliners while offering bold musical discoveries.
The festival spans two days, Friday and Saturday, with evening concerts on the main stage and discoveries on the secondary stages. Saturday afternoon is dedicated to families with "LeZ'Arts de Rue", offering free activities for all ages: exhibitions, juggling, street theater, and fanfares.
Les Bichoiseries passionately advocates for access to culture for all. The festival has implemented adapted pathways and trained volunteer teams to assist people with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the event. This accessibility initiative has been praised by regional media and is a cornerstone of the festival's identity.
The Mont de Cerisy offers a spectacular open-air site with a panoramic view of the Norman countryside. The rustic atmosphere of the location, combined with the quality of the programming and the energy of the volunteers, creates a unique and warm ambiance that retains an ever-growing audience with each edition.
Driven by a team of passionate volunteers from Cerisy-Belle-Étoile and the surrounding area, the festival contributes to the cultural and economic dynamism of the territory. Les Bichoiseries is supported by the Normandy Region and local authorities, demonstrating its major role in the cultural life of the Orne department.
The 19th edition of Les Bichoiseries will be held at the end of June 2026 on Mont de Cerisy in Cerisy-Belle-Étoile. The program will be announced in the spring of 2026.
