Nature and outdoor festival in Suisse Normande with free concerts
Every year in May, Suisse Normande vibrates to the rhythm of the Les Extraverties Festival, a unique event combining outdoor activities, free concerts, and nature awareness. Spread between the spectacular site of La Roche d'Oëtre (on Thursday) and the town of Pont-d'Ouilly (on Friday and Saturday), the festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year, with 25,000 visitors in 2023.
The festival offers around thirty sports and nature activities accessible to everyone: hiking, canoeing, climbing, treetop adventure, zip-lining, paddleboarding, archery, and water games. Each activity is offered at a symbolic price of 1 to 3 euros, making the event accessible to all budgets. Professional instructors ensure the safety and initiation of participants.
The eco-village, set up in the public park of Pont-d'Ouilly, hosts a nature market with local producers and artisans, environmental awareness workshops, a space for young children, and entertaining shows. It is a place for discovery and sharing around ecological values and the Norman terroir.
The festival evenings are enlivened by free open-air concerts, offering an eclectic musical program. A dance area allows festival-goers to extend the party. The friendly atmosphere and the nature spirit make Les Extraverties a unique event of its kind in Calvados.
The 8th edition of the Les ExtraVERTies Festival takes place from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16, 2026, between La Roche d'Oëtre (Thursday) and the Pont-d'Ouilly leisure center (Friday and Saturday). Three days of outdoor activities, an eco-village, and free concerts in Suisse Normande, notably featuring Soviet Suprem and Jaja as headliners on Saturday evening.
From Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Les ExtraVERTies Festival takes over two emblematic sites in Suisse Normande: La Roche d'Oëtre (Saint-Philbert-sur-Orne, 61) on Thursday, then the Pont-d'Ouilly leisure center (14) on Friday and Saturday. Organized by the Falaise Tourist Office with the support of Flers Agglo and the municipality of Pont-d'Ouilly, the event is once again expecting around 25,000 visitors over the weekend.
The festival offers over 50 sports and nature activities over three days: guided hikes, canoe-kayak, paddleboarding, climbing, tree climbing, mountain biking, archery, slackline, kayak polo, paragliding simulator, adventure course, but also original activities such as bungee jumping from a 55-meter crane, the BMX Bike Park, and a nature raid combining orientation, running, and laser shooting.
The eco-village brings together local producers, artisans, environmental awareness workshops (tree identification, bird and plant observation), a wellness area (Thai massages, sophrology, yoga), and a children's village. The festival emphasizes eco-responsible approaches: plastic-free zones, reusable containers, recycling stations, carpooling via Rézo Pouce.
The entirely free music program offers about twenty concerts and shows spread across three main stages (Parc Accro Stage, Eco-village, Nature Leisure Village) as well as strolls and performances in the aisles. On Saturday evening, two headliners: Soviet Suprem (Balkan hip-hop) at 9 PM and Jaja (ska, swing, rap musette) at 6:30 PM.
