Winter festival in Tinténiac (Ille-et-Vilaine)
Les Hivernales is a winter festival held in Tinténiac, a commune in Ille-et-Vilaine located between Rennes and Saint-Malo, in Brittany. Organized annually in early February at the Espace Ille et Donac, it offers two evenings of concerts and fest-noz that warm the heart of the Breton winter.
The programming of Les Hivernales champions eclecticism: it's not just rock, nor just jazz, classical music, pop, funk, traditional music, or electro — it's all of these at once. This diversity attracts different audiences and provides an opportunity to discover lesser-known artists. Friday evening highlights Breton music and dances (fest-noz), while Saturday combines chanson, rock, and world music.
Les Hivernales aims to be a warm and accessible event. Organized by the Les Hivernales association and supported by the commune of Tinténiac, the festival offers reasonable prices, free admission for the youngest on Friday, as well as on-site catering and a refreshment stand. It's an opportunity to share a moment with friends or family in the heart of the Breton countryside.
