About Les Maynats
Les Maynats is a performing arts festival dedicated to young audiences and families, organized by the association Les Maynats in the territory of the Communauté de Communes de la Haute-Bigorre (CCHB). Founded in 1995, the association celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. For three decades, Les Maynats has brought the finest shows for young audiences, with a program mixing theater, circus, puppetry, and street performances. The main festival is held annually in May in Pouzac, featuring about fifteen professional companies and thirty performances. The association also offers shows throughout the year in the territory's towns: Les Clins d'œil, La Déambule, and La Randonnée des Maynats.

30 years of shows for youth
Les Maynats is a performing arts festival dedicated to young audiences and families, organized in the territory of the CCHB (Communauté de Communes de la Haute-Bigorre). Founded in 1995 as a non-profit association, recognized as being of general interest and composed exclusively of volunteers, the association celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026.
The May festival
The main festival takes place every year in May in Pouzac, over three to four days:
- 15 professional companies invited
- 30 performances for young and all audiences
- Free workshops for children
- Children's Ball to close the festival
A year-round program
The association also offers shows in the towns of the territory:
- Les Clins d'œil: Occasional shows in the towns of the CCHB (Ordizan, Montgaillard, Campan, Trébons)
- La Déambule: Parade of circus shows and batucada in the streets of Bagnères-de-Bigorre
- La Randonnée des Maynats: Walking tour punctuated by circus shows and artistic interludes

Les Maynats' mission is to bring performing arts to people who, for various reasons, never attend performance venues, by bringing shows directly to the towns.
