French chanson and variety at the green theater of Arcs-sur-Argens
Every summer since 2021, the small medieval village of Les Arcs-sur-Argens, nestled in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation vineyard, vibrates to the rhythm of Les Nuits du Réal. This festival of French song, variety shows, and performances, organized by the municipality of Les Arcs-sur-Argens, has become in just a few editions one of the most popular summer events in inland Var.
The event takes place at the Théâtre de Verdure du Réal, an open-air amphitheater set up in the heart of the village. This unique setting offers an intimate and friendly atmosphere that happily contrasts with large mass festivals. The soft, starry summer nights of Les Arcs create a natural backdrop that artists themselves particularly appreciate.
The Théâtre de Verdure du Réal is one of the few permanent open-air performance spaces in inland Var. Its slightly naturally sloping configuration allows the entire audience to benefit from good visibility of the stage, and its plant environment contributes to quality natural acoustics.
The site is accessible on foot from the center of Les Arcs-sur-Argens, a commune that also abounds in tourist attractions — its medieval castle, its Sainte-Roseline chapel with mosaics by Chagall and Giacometti, its renowned vineyard — making the musical evening a natural stopover during a stay in the Var.
The program of Les Nuits du Réal favors French song, popular variety shows, and now humor and live performances, with particular attention to nationally renowned artists likely to attract a multi-generational audience. The festival is known for its ability to program national headliners while maintaining an accessible and friendly village festival atmosphere.
Since its first edition in 2021, the festival has hosted artists such as Kendji Girac, Louane, and more recently Vitaa and Amir in 2025. The 6th edition 2026, from July 2 to 4, welcomes Marine (winner of Star Academy 2024), André Manoukian & Rosemary Standley with Félix Radu, and Nawell Madani.
Beyond the performances, Les Nuits du Réal embody an ideal of cultural democratization. Organized by the commune with a spirit of accessibility, they allow all residents and tourists to enjoy quality shows in an exceptional natural setting. This festival is a successful example of a local cultural event capable of attracting national artists while remaining rooted in its territory and its values of sharing.
The 6th edition of Les Nuits du Réal takes place from Thursday, July 2 to Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the Réal open-air theater in Les Arcs-sur-Argens. Three evenings featuring Marine (winner of Star Academy 2024), André Manoukian & Rosemary Standley accompanied by Félix Radu for La Vie Secrète des Chansons, and the comedian Nawell Madani.
For its sixth edition, the Les Nuits du Réal festival once again takes over the open-air theater of Les Arcs-sur-Argens from Thursday, July 2 to Saturday, July 4, 2026. Three eclectic evenings blending French song, jazz, storytelling, and humor, in the intimate setting of the Théâtre du Réal in the heart of the village.
Marine, revelation and winner of Star Academy 2024, opens the festival for her first major tour. The young singer presents her French pop repertoire, carried by a powerful voice and a remarkable stage presence throughout her television journey.
Jazz pianist André Manoukian, a familiar figure to the general public for his years on the Nouvelle Star panel on M6, reunites with American singer Rosemary Standley (voice of Moriarty) for the show La Vie Secrète des Chansons. On piano and vocals, the duo blends jazz, folk, and intimate stories about the history of songs that have marked our lives. The evening is preceded by Félix Radu, a young Belgian poet and comedian with a finely crafted pen.
Franco-Belgian comedian and humorist Nawell Madani closes the festival with her solo show full of energy and generosity. Author of C'est tout moi (show and feature film), she deploys spontaneous and warm humor blending self-deprecation and sharp observation.
Doors open at 7 PM each evening, shows start at 8:30 PM. Bar and food trucks on site. Three free parking lots nearby (avenue Nelson Mandela, place du 11 Novembre, place du Général de Gaulle). PMR access upon request at 04 94 47 57 00.
