Les Ranc'Arts 2026: Two Days of Free Celebration at Maison de Bégon
Maison de Bégon invites residents of Blois and visitors on Friday, May 29 (6 PM - 12 AM) and Saturday, May 30, 2026 (4 PM - 12 AM) to Place Danièle-Mitterrand for a new edition of Les Ranc'Arts. The street arts and contemporary music festival is completely free, with no reservation or ticketing required.
A Program Centered on Street Arts, Circus, and Music
Four companies take over the public space: Cie La 3 et demie opens on Friday evening with « Ce sera pire après », an acrobatic lifts show, followed by Cie Crucru and « Sagitta », a poetic performance combining foot archery and clowning. On Saturday, Cie Mauvais Coton presents « Culbuto », an acrobatic feat on a chronic instability machine, then Cie Duo Niu performs « Pandora », a vintage dinner interrupted by a storm of improbable events.
On the music side, Andrick Airways delivers a reggae-ska-ragga concert on Friday evening, propelled by their viral video « dans ma cabane ». On Saturday, the Olaïtan brass band from Benin closes the stage program with its 8-musician voodoo brass band. At 11:15 PM each evening, the FAN 2026 (Digital Firework) projection mapping, a collective work scenographed by Frank Ternier, illuminates the facade of the Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs.
Dance Circle, Parade, and Entertainment Area
On Saturday at 5:00 PM, nearly 150 dancers animate the large intergenerational dance circle with oriental, Bollywood fusion, contemporary, hip-hop, afro, and tribal choreographies: about ten local structures participate (Studio 7, Cie Azoth, Jeune Ballet 41, José Dance Academy, Flamenco 41, La Mécanique du Bonheur…). The « Cousus Mains » parade by Bar à Couture presents at 4:20 PM textile creations made throughout the year with residents and partner structures from the neighborhood.
In parallel with the stage, the Animations & Relaxation Area offers free workshops on Friday and Saturday until 9:45 PM: bookbinding and customization (Tendre Papier), makeup (Latino Cultura), comic book creations (Maison de la BD), retrogaming, juggling (Firefly), participatory gardening workshop, FabLab (flocking, magnets, stickers), and giant board games lent by the Espace Mirabeau toy library.
A Popular Event Rooted in Blois' Northern District
The solidarity soup, distributed free of charge by Habitants Relais, opens Friday evening at 7:00 PM, and the event officially begins with the O'Kartier en Fête parade at 6:15 PM with local associations (ALP Joséphine Marchais, Simone Weil, Cécile Rol Tanguy, Jean Perrin). A bar and local food are available on site throughout the festival.
