Les Vinycées in Amboise

Les Vinycées is an original gourmet fair held annually in March at the Lycée professionnel agricole d'Amboise, in the heart of the Domaine de la Gabillière. This unique event brings together wine productions from agricultural and wine high schools in France, offering an exceptional showcase for French wine education.

A unique concept in France

Les Vinycées distinguishes itself from traditional wine fairs with its original concept: all bottles offered for tasting and sale come from training institutions in the various French wine regions. Wines from Dordogne, the Rhône Valley, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Chinon, Alsace, or Jura are presented by students and teachers from these high schools. Prices are particularly attractive, with vintages starting at less than €10 and none exceeding €30.

The Domaine de la Gabillière

The Domaine de la Gabillière, the vineyard of the Amboise wine high school, covers 20 hectares of limestone, clay, or sandy soils in the Touraine, Touraine-Amboise, and Crémant de Loire appellations. This estate has been awarded numerous times for the quality of its wines, notably the « Les Nymphes » vintage, a 100% organic Chenin served at the National Assembly during the International Agricultural Show.

Gastronomy and terroir

Beyond wines, Les Vinycées offers a true gourmet market with carefully selected regional terroir products: Andouille de Vire, Sainte-Maure de Touraine cheese, duck products from Périgord, oysters from Bourcefranc, and many other specialties. A dining area is provided with food and wine pairings, especially on Sundays.

An educational and festive event

Les Vinycées is also an open house event that allows visitors to discover the training programs offered by the Amboise wine high school — a school for vines, wine, and horses. It's an opportunity for visitors to meet future professionals in the wine industry and understand the challenges of agricultural training in France.
