About Livres en Vignes
Livres en Vignes brings together publishers, authors, and booksellers at the historic Château du Clos de Vougeot, nestled in the heart of the Côtes de Nuits vineyards. Founded in 2008 by Evelyne Philippe, the festival bridges the gap between general literature and works dedicated to wine, viticulture, and gastronomy, with the support of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin and the Burgundy Writers' Club. Every last weekend of September, over a hundred writers gather for book signings, debates, workshops, and exhibitions designed for both young readers and adults.
Livres en Vignes — edition 2026
For its 19th edition, Livres en Vignes returns on September 26th and 27th, 2026, to the Château du Clos de Vougeot. Enjoy free admission, book signings, debates, and a new feature this year: roaming readings hosted by Jérôme Attal. Four literary prizes will be awarded to authors on the preceding Friday, including the Prix Albert-Bichot and the First Novel Prize.

- 5:30 PM — Literary awards ceremony: Prix Albert-Bichot, Veuve Ambal First Novel Prize, and the Prix du Clos de Vougeot
Saturday, September 26th, 2026
- 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM — Doors open: book signings and meetings with authors, publishers, and booksellers
- 10:15 AM — Grand Oenological Dictation in the Grand Cellier; youth (10-17) and adult categories, limited to 120 participants, registration required by September 25th
- 11:00 AM, 11:50 AM, 2:50 PM, 3:50 PM, 4:50 PM — Aroma Cellar: presentation and tasting of Burgundy wines, groups of 17 people, 40 minutes
- 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM — Roaming readings hosted by Jérôme Attal, with excerpts read by attending authors
- Ongoing — Exhibition of plates from the comic book "Auguste Escoffier" (Éditions Plein Vent)
