Classical music festival imagined by pianist David Fray
Imagined by the internationally renowned pianist David Fray, L'Offrande Musicale was born in 2021 with a dual ambition: to offer classical music concerts at the highest artistic level and to make music accessible to all, including people with disabilities. This unique humanist project in France reserves 20% of tickets for people with disabilities, offering them free access to concerts with adapted transport and personalized support.
The festival unfolds in the most beautiful heritage sites of the Hautes-Pyrénées, between Lourdes, Tarbes, and the surrounding valleys. The Auditorium de la Cité Saint-Pierre and the Salle Robert Hossein in Lourdes, the Théâtre Les Nouveautés in Tarbes, the Abbaye de l'Escaladieu in Bonnemazon, the Château de Montus in Castelnau-Rivière-Basse, the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Piétat in Barbazan-Debat, and Le Parvis in Ibos host the festival's concerts.
David Fray surrounds himself with the greatest performers on the international classical scene. The Orchestre National de France, the Insula Orchestra conducted by Laurence Équilbey, pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, horn player Felix Klieser — artist in residence from 2024 to 2026 — and many leading soloists perform each year as part of the festival.
Supported by the association Musiques et Solidarités en Hautes-Pyrénées, chaired by Jéselyne Vallé, L'Offrande Musicale shines throughout the department. The festival collaborates with the tourist offices of Tarbes and Lourdes, local authorities, and numerous cultural partners to offer an event that contributes to the cultural and tourist dynamism of the territory.
6th edition of L'Offrande Musicale, from June 29 to July 13, 2026 in Tarbes, Lourdes and in the heritage sites of the Hautes-Pyrénées. Conceived by pianist David Fray, this edition offers a journey into the baroque universe guided by Jean-Sébastien Bach and Antonio Vivaldi, with Mozart, Schubert ("The Trout"), jazz and a family show. Exceptional classical music concerts serving a humanist and inclusive project.
For this sixth edition, artistic director David Fray offers a journey into the baroque era in the company of Jean-Sébastien Bach and Antonio Vivaldi, presented on violin, mandolin, piano, guitar, sung and even danced thanks to the return of choreographer John Neumeier. Other styles are also featured with Mozart, Schubert ("The Trout"), jazz and a show for the whole family. Horn player Felix Klieser, born without arms, completes his third and final year of residency and remains a living symbol of the festival.
The festival brings together soprano Julie Fuchs, violinist Renaud Capuçon, violinist Daniel Lozakovich, clarinetist Pierre Génisson, guitarist Thibaut Garcia, violinist and conductor Thomas Zehetmair, countertenor Carlo Vistoli, mandolinist Julien Martineau, as well as the Orchestre national Bordeaux-Aquitaine, the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse and the Orchestre national Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
True to its commitment, L'Offrande Musicale offers free admission to all concerts for people with disabilities (PSH) and their accompanying person, with a target of 20% of the capacity (961 PSH festival-goers in 2025). All sites are accessible to people with reduced mobility. The patron of this edition is Sulaymân Khalef, a paratrooper from the 1er RHP who became a para-athlete after an injury in operation.
