L'Onglois Festival

A warm festival in the heart of Haute-Provence

Nestled in the picturesque village of Ongles, at 650 meters above sea level on the foothills of the Montagne de Lure, L'Onglois Festival (also known as Onglois Fest) was born in 2022 from the desire of a group of volunteers passionate about music and cuisine. Organized by the association « Entre Fuon é Bastié », the Ongles festival committee, this human-scale festival embodies the festive and supportive spirit of the villages of Haute-Provence.

An eclectic program for all audiences

The strength of L'Onglois Festival lies in its deliberately varied and accessible musical program. The first edition offered a complete musical journey: from the musical aperitif with the duo L'Instant Brassens paying tribute to the great Georges, to the energetic rock-blues of the duo After Hours, through the offbeat acoustic rock of Petite Raoul (“acoustically but not too much”), the wild afro-funk brass band of Syndicat du Chrome, to the beautiful closing with the electronic sets of Organized Bazar. This musical diversity is the festival's trademark, aiming to introduce emerging artists and original bands to the Provençal public.

A family and gourmet event

L'Onglois Festival is not limited to music. From the opening in the early afternoon, activities for children take place with games, creative workshops, and pony rides, making the festival a true family event. The culinary dimension is also at the heart of the project: a bar and on-site catering allow you to savor local specialties while enjoying the concerts. The festival makes it a point of honor to promote local products and Provençal gastronomic know-how.

Free admission and participatory spirit

True to its values of sharing and accessibility, L'Onglois Festival is an entirely free event. However, organizers invite attendees to participate according to their means, based on the principle of “hat collection”. This solidarity initiative allows everyone to enjoy a quality musical evening in an exceptional setting, without financial barriers. The festival reminds visitors that there are no ATMs in the village of Ongles and advises them to bring cash.

An exceptional Provençal setting

The village of Ongles, with its medieval streets, ruined castle, and panoramic views of the Largue valley and the Montagne de Lure, offers a magnificent natural setting for this open-air festival. Located between Forcalquier and Banon, in the Luberon Regional Natural Park, this preserved territory invites strolling and discovering Provençal heritage. L'Onglois Festival thus contributes to the cultural animation of this rural area and the vitality of the local associative fabric.
