Ludi'Langres 2026 – 9th Edition in a New Venue
The 9th edition of the Ludi'Langres festival will take place from July 9 to 12, 2026, in a new venue: the Salle Jean-Favre, Place des États-Unis, in Langres. After four years at Sacré-Cœur, the festival is moving due to renovation work planned at the old site during the summer of 2026.
The program remains true to the festival's spirit with a game library featuring hundreds of titles, giant games, role-playing game sessions, a miniatures and card games area, escape games, trollball, and a prototypes area for creators. Admission remains completely free.
The Ludi'Langres association has also updated its statutes to refocus its mission on promoting games in all their forms, while eliminating membership fees. The stated goal is to maintain, or even exceed, the attendance of 2,700 visitors achieved in 2025.

Practical advice
Parking is available near the festival venue. Remember to bring your own games if you wish to share them or test them with other enthusiasts. As the festival is largely held indoors, it takes place in all weather. Volunteers from the association are available throughout the event to guide you and explain the rules of the games offered.
Ludi'Langres: the game festival in the heart of the fortified city
Created in 2018 by the association Res Ludum (renamed Ludi'Langres), the Langres game festival was born from the desire of three young Haute-Marne residents passionate about promoting the world of games in their region. After two precursor editions under the name "Fort en Jeux" in 2014 and 2015, the event took off under the name Ludi'Langres to become the annual meeting for game lovers in Haute-Marne.
A rich and varied program for all audiences
Each edition of the festival offers a total immersion in the world of games thanks to numerous themed areas. Visitors can discover:
- A game library with over 300 board games freely available, run by passionate volunteers who explain the rules and facilitate games
- Giant games outdoors, perfect for families and younger children
- A role-playing game area with introductory sessions and games led by experienced game masters every afternoon
- A miniatures and card games area dedicated to wargames, Magic, and collectible card games
- Immersive escape games designed specifically for the festival
- Trollball, a life-size game sport combining strategy and physical activity
- A prototypes area where game designers come to test their creations with the public
A family-friendly and accessible event
One of Ludi'Langres' strengths is its accessibility. Admission is completely free, allowing everyone to participate without financial constraints. The festival is designed to welcome all ages and skill levels, from toddlers discovering their first games to seasoned gamers seeking new challenges. The generous opening hours — Thursday to Saturday from 10 am to midnight and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm — allow everyone to fully enjoy the event.
Langres, an exceptional historic setting
The festival takes place in the magnificent fortified city of Langres, the birthplace of Denis Diderot, perched on a promontory offering remarkable panoramas. This city of art and history, encircled by its famous 3.5 km ramparts, provides a unique heritage setting for hosting a major gaming event. Visitors can thus combine cultural discovery and the pleasure of gaming during a long summer weekend.
