About LuzInaZik

LuzInaZik was an eclectic and eco-citizen festival organized by the association La Pourtère in Luz-Saint-Sauveur, in the heart of Pays Toy in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Created in the mid-2000s, it combined concerts under a big top, live shows, introductory workshops, sound and visual performances, an associative village and an alternative bookstore, all under the banner of eco-citizenship and solidarity (organic products, fair trade, returnable cups, dry toilets). The last publicly documented edition was the 4th, on September 11 and 12, 2009; the festival no longer seems to be held since then.

LuzInaZik: an eclectic festival in the heart of Pays Toy

LuzInaZik, supported by the association La Pourtère, was a festival that combined arts in a spirit of conviviality and eco-citizenship in Luz-Saint-Sauveur, at the foot of the Pyrenean peaks.

A rich and varied program

The festival offered an eclectic program:

  • Concerts under a big top: swing, salsa, electro, jazz, punk, Latin fusion
  • Live shows: theater, improvisation
  • Introductory workshops: tango, circus
  • Sound and visual performances, video art
  • Associative village: crafts, alternative bookstore, massages, international solidarity stands, eco-construction

Eco-citizenship and solidarity

LuzInaZik was distinguished by its ecological commitment: organic and fair trade products, returnable cups, dry toilets, and nature as guest of honor. A human-scale festival that embodied the values of solidarity and respect for the environment.
