Electronic music festival at the Domaine de La Mussetière in Montaigu-Vendée
Born from a shared passion for electronic music, the M2A Festival — for "Mi De l'An" — makes Montaigu-Vendée vibrate to the rhythm of techno, house, and eurodance. Set in the exceptional grounds of the Domaine de La Mussetière, the festival features an XXL outdoor stage set up in front of the château's facade, enhanced by a video mapping show. Since its first edition in 2025, this late June event brings together electronic music lovers in a festive atmosphere, with food trucks, a cocktail bar, a chill zone, and on-site camping.
The M2A Festival — an acronym for "Mi De l'An" — was born from the shared passion of young Vendéans determined to make their region vibrate to the rhythm of electronic music. Organized by the association Festival Mi De l'An, this event was launched in 2025 with a clear ambition: to create a festival of techno, house, and eurodance rooted in local heritage, in the heart of Montaigu-Vendée.
The choice of location is no accident. The Domaine de La Mussetière, with its historic château nestled on the edge of Saint-Hilaire-de-Loulay, offers a majestic and unique setting for an electronic festival. The XXL outdoor stage is set up facing the château's facade, which becomes the canvas for a breathtaking video mapping show each evening. The light displays projected onto the centuries-old stones create a unique symbiosis between heritage and modernity, between Vendée's history and contemporary electronic cultures.
Each year, the M2A Festival curates a lineup blending local artists and international headliners. From melodic techno to deep house, including eurodance and progressive, sets flow non-stop from 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM. The first edition in 2025 featured 9 artists for 10 hours of music non-stop, attracting over 800 festival-goers from all over Vendée and beyond.
Building on the success of its first edition, the M2A Festival returns in 2026 even more ambitious with two days of festival, on June 26th and 27th. The lineup expands, the infrastructure is reinforced, and the campsite opens its doors on Friday evening for full immersion into the festival's universe. This growth reflects the vitality of the Vendée electronic scene and the public's enthusiasm for this new summer event.
Beyond the music, the M2A Festival cultivates a complete festival experience. Festival-goers can enjoy diverse food trucks with vegetarian options, a main bar offering signature cocktails and local beers, a free water bar, a chill zone decorated with lights, and a merchandising stand. The festival operates on a token system (rechargeable by card or cash) and provides reusable, deposit-based cups, demonstrating an eco-responsible approach.
The M2A Festival returns on June 26th and 27th, 2026, at the Domaine de La Mussetière in Montaigu-Vendée for a second, even more ambitious edition. Expanding from one to two days, the festival is broadening its lineup with techno, house, and electronic music artists on its XXL outdoor stage. Camping, food trucks, a cocktail bar, and video mapping on the château complete the experience.
