Mama Stock Festival in Montpellier

The Mama Stock Festival is one of the most anticipated summer cultural highlights in Montpellier and the Hérault region of Occitanie. Created in 2018 and organized by the Mama Sound association, this completely free festival takes place every August weekend at Parc Montcalm, a 25-hectare green lung located in the heart of the city.

An eclectic and committed festival

Mama Stock prides itself on its eclectic, multidisciplinary, and intergenerational identity. Its musical program brings together rock, hip-hop, reggae, jazz, and contemporary music, with a special focus on the local Montpellier scene: each edition features around a hundred artists, creators, and local figures. The festival also offers a second stage with DJ sets, children's activities, a craft market, and a pop-up gallery featuring exhibitions, live painting, graffiti workshops, and more.

The Mama Village and the festival's values

Beyond the concerts, Mama Stock highlights various organizations through its Mama Village, a space for exchange and awareness. The festival is certified with the “LABEL et la fête” INCLUSION award and is committed to eco-friendly practices in partnership with the NGO SOS Méditerranée. Local food options including vegetarian choices, a bar, composting toilets, and a dog-friendly policy (on a leash) round out the experience.
