About Pride Tours
Pride Tours — edition 2026
The 20th Tours Pride March kicks off on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at 3:30 PM from the esplanade of the Château de Tours, under the banner "20 years of existence, 20 years of resistance." The community village opens at 12:30 PM, the parade will wind through the city center behind three floats, and the day will continue at the guinguette de Tours sur Loire. A Pride Week precedes the march from Monday, June 1st to Friday, June 5th, featuring exhibitions, concerts, drag shows, and film screenings. Free admission.
Twenty years of marching in Tours
Organized by the Centre LGBTI de Touraine, the Tours Pride March celebrates its 20th edition on Saturday, June 6th, 2026. The first march in Tours took place in 2006: organizers expected 300 people and ended up with 800. Two decades later, the event has become a highlight of June in Indre-et-Loire, with a defiant motto for the anniversary: "20 years of existence, 20 years of resistance." The Centre LGBTI sums it up: "As long as there is a need for a space of visibility to defend our rights, our march will continue. This is not a party, but a revolt."
The community village, starting at 12:30 PM
The Saturday festivities begin on the esplanade of the Château de Tours, on Avenue André Malraux, where the community village welcomes the public from 12:30 PM. You will find partner association booths, prevention and information areas, local drinks, and food trucks. Speeches will take place before the departure, featuring the Centre LGBTI de Touraine, as well as unions highlighting workplace discrimination and intersex individuals denouncing non-consensual medical procedures.
The parade, departing at 3:30 PM
The march sets off at 3:30 PM from the esplanade of the Château de Tours. The route heads to Place Jean-Jaurès, passes through Les Halles, and returns to the starting point. Three floats equipped with large speakers, led by drag queens, will keep the parade moving to electronic music; everyone is invited to join in to dance and make their voices heard. Rainbow flags, signs, and banners will accompany the thousands of participants through the streets of Tours.
Pride Week, from June 1st to 5th
As in previous years, the march is preceded by a cultural week spread across several city venues, including the guinguette de Tours sur Loire. The program includes: "Queermesse," the opening of the collective Queer exhibition, a concert, a makers' market, a conference, drag shows, an outdoor film screening, a musical evening with aerial dance, a film-debate, and a drag cabaret. The program highlights local artists.
The closing party
After the march, the organizers invite everyone to the guinguette de Tours starting at 8:00 PM for a cha-cha-cha workshop, a performance by artist Tiger Saint Laurent with students from the University of Tours, speeches by the organization, and a DJ set by Lego Fast to wrap up Pride Week.

Pride of Tours: Visibility and Commitment
The Marche des Fiertés de Tours is organized every June by the Centre LGBTI de Touraine, an association that has been working for many years for the visibility, support, and defense of the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer people in Indre-et-Loire. This event has become one of the highlights of associative and militant life in Tours.
A Festive and Militant Procession
The march starts from the esplanade du Château de Tours, avenue André Malraux, and crosses the city center in an atmosphere that is both festive and militant:
- The procession: Thousands of marchers parade through the streets of Tours, carrying rainbow flags, signs, and banners. Associations, unions, and political parties participate in the parade alongside citizens.
- Music: musical floats, DJs, and brass bands liven up the procession throughout the route, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.
- Demands: each edition focuses on a specific theme and demands for equal rights, the fight against discrimination, and the visibility of LGBTQIA+ people.
The Associative Village
At the end of the procession, an associative village welcomes marchers and the public:
- Associative stands: Centre LGBTI de Touraine, AIDES, CEGIDD, David & Jonathan, CIA, SHDR, and many other rights defense, health, and prevention associations.
- Youth structures: Espace Santé Jeunes 37 and BIJ 37 (Bureau Information Jeunesse) offer information and support.
- The Grand Podium: a musical stage with concerts and artistic performances to close the day with music and celebration.
A Growing Event
The Marche des Fiertés de Tours is experiencing steady growth. The 2024 edition, the 18th, brought together nearly 5,000 people and mobilized over 100 volunteers and partners. The event plays an essential role in LGBTQIA+ visibility in Touraine and contributes to the fight against LGBTIphobia, isolation, and discrimination. The Centre LGBTI de Touraine provides year-round support, prevention actions, interventions in schools and workplaces, and support for LGBTI asylum seekers.
