The complete menu — from aperitif to dessert — was accompanied by Alsatian local wines (Crémant, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir). Prices: 43 € adult, 23 € child (5-14 years), free for under 5s, with prior registration before April 13th, 2026.
A two-day gastronomic hike
The 2026 edition of the Gourmet Walk took place on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, faithful to its convivial formula inherited from previous editions. Participants left the Salle des Sports de Kaysersberg, rue des Tilleuls, in small groups staggered every ten minutes between 10 am and 1 pm, to set off on the 12-kilometer circuit through the vineyard.
Eight gourmet stages in the heart of the vineyard
Throughout the route, walkers enjoyed a complete menu composed of eight successive stops, each offering a different panorama of the Alsatian vineyard and the Vosges. The menu for the 2026 edition included:
- Aperitif with Crémant d'Alsace and Muscat
- Winegrower's salad accompanied by Pinot Gris
- Pork cheeks with Pinot Noir
- Alsatian wine tasting
- Shepherd's round (cheese platter)
- Dessert with brie and kirsch accompanied by coffee
The wines served came from the estates of Kaysersberg Vignoble, a region renowned for its Grands Crus Schlossberg and Kaefferkopf.
A 12 km route between heritage and nature
The circuit, hilly but accessible to families, crossed pastures, oak forests, hillside vineyards, the ruins of the imperial castle of Kaysersberg, and the medieval streets of the town of Doctor Albert Schweitzer, elected France's Favorite Village in 2017.
A solidarity event for the benefit of KBCA
The profits from this 2026 edition funded the treasury of the KBCA (Kaysersberg Basket Centre Alsace), a basketball club founded in 1923 and competing at a national level. The event mobilized numerous club volunteers for the preparation of the stages, route supervision, and welcoming walkers.
What's next?
The KBCA is already preparing the 2027 edition, which is expected to be held again in spring. Registration details will be communicated at the beginning of 2027 on the official website www.kbca.fr or by email at [email protected].

Practical advice
Bring walking shoes suitable for hilly terrain. No strollers on the route. The walk will take place rain or shine. Bring a light backpack for personal belongings.
A gastronomic hike between vineyards and castle
The Marche Gourmande de Kaysersberg is one of the most original events in the Alsatian festive calendar. Organized by the KBCA (Kaysersberg Basket Centre Alsace), a basketball club founded in 1923, this 12-kilometer gastronomic hike traverses the spectacular landscapes of Kaysersberg Vignoble: green pastures, oak forests, hillside vineyards, the imperial castle overlooking the Weiss valley, and the medieval streets of the town of Dr. Albert Schweitzer.
Eight gourmet stops
The route is punctuated by eight tasting stops that make up a complete menu, from the beginning to the end of the walk. The adventure begins with an aperitif of Crémant d'Alsace and Muscat, continues with a winemaker's salad accompanied by Pinot Gris, pork cheeks with Pinot Noir, a tasting of Alsatian wines, the shepherd's round (cheese platter), and concludes with a dessert with brie and kirsch accompanied by coffee. Each stop offers a different panorama of the vineyards and the Vosges mountains.
A convivial and accessible format
Departures are staggered every ten minutes between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. from the Salle des Sports, rue des Tilleuls. This departure system in small groups ensures a convivial experience and allows participants to fully enjoy each stop without crowds. The route, although hilly, is accessible to all walkers, including families with children. The walk takes place over two days, offering participants the choice between Friday and Saturday.
The wines of Kaysersberg Vignoble
The wines served throughout the route come from the wineries of Kaysersberg Vignoble, a commune formed in 2016 by the merger of Kaysersberg, Kientzheim, and Sigolsheim. This exceptional terroir, home to the Grands Crus Schlossberg and Kaefferkopf, produces Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris of great finesse. The gourmet walk is an opportunity to taste them in their natural setting, facing the vines that produced them.
Kaysersberg, Favorite Village of the French
Kaysersberg, voted Favorite Village of the French in 2017, offers an exceptional setting for this gourmet walk. The imperial town, dominated by the ruins of its 13th-century castle, boasts remarkable architectural heritage: half-timbered houses, a fortified bridge, the Sainte-Croix church with its carved altarpiece, and the Constantin fountain. The gourmet walk route passes through this heritage, combining palate pleasure and cultural discovery in one of Alsace's most beautiful villages.
A solidarity event
The profits from the Marche Gourmande fund the activities of KBCA, a historic basketball club in Alsace that competes nationally. This associative and sporting anchoring gives the event a dimension of solidarity and community, driven by the commitment of numerous volunteers who ensure the preparation of the gourmet stops and the supervision of the route.
