The electronic music festival of Billère
Born in 2014 at L'Ampli - La Route du Son in Billère, Mars ça Tape is a festival dedicated to electronic music in all its forms. For several days in March, this event brings together about ten local, national and international artists around various styles: electro, techno, drum'n'bass, bass music, hardtek, trance and neurofunk. Organized by a collective of associations — ART&FAKT, ASSO SCIÉE, Le Nouveau Numéro, Ampli and Divers Gens —, the festival also offers events for young audiences like La Boum Boum for 6-11 year olds, making Mars ça Tape a unifying and accessible event.
Since 2014, Mars ça Tape has established itself as the unmissable event for electronic music lovers in the Pau agglomeration. Born from the desire of a collective of passionate associations, this festival takes over L'Ampli - La Route du Son, Billère's iconic concert venue, every March for several evenings of sonic immersion.
Mars ça Tape stands out for the diversity of its programming, which covers the entire spectrum of electronic music: electro, techno, drum'n'bass, bass music, hardtek, trance, neurofunk, crossbreed hardcore, tribe mental, chip jockey, and progressive mix. Each edition features a dozen artists representing these different genres, offering festival-goers a sonic journey that is as rich as it is varied.
True to the spirit of electronic music, the festival offers evenings that extend into the early hours of the morning, some lasting until 3:45 AM. The atmosphere at L'Ampli, with its careful acoustics and intimate capacity, provides ideal conditions for fully experiencing the sound.
Mars ça Tape is the result of collaboration between several local associations: ART&FAKT, ASSO SCIÉE, Le Nouveau Numéro, AMPLI, and Divers Gens. This associative model guarantees the festival's artistic independence and its rootedness in the local cultural fabric. Each association brings its expertise and network, enabling an eclectic and demanding program.
While the evening events are aimed at electronic music enthusiasts, Mars ça Tape does not neglect young audiences. La Boum Boum, an event dedicated to 6-11 year olds, offers a fun introduction to electronic music in a suitable setting, on a Wednesday afternoon during the festival. This inclusive approach demonstrates the organizers' commitment to democratizing these musical aesthetics.
The festival organizes a competition for local producers, who are invited to submit mixes or live sets via social media. The five most popular artists are given a performance slot on the festival stage, thus contributing to the emergence of new talents in the Béarn electronic scene.
Mars ça Tape returns in March 2026 to L'Ampli in Billère for a new edition of the electronic music festival, with a lineup mixing established artists and emerging talents from the electronic scene.
The Mars ça Tape festival will return in March 2026 to L'Ampli - La Route du Son in Billère. The lineup will be announced in early 2026 on social media and the L'Ampli website.
