The friendly festival at the Château de Bressuire: pop, rock, electro and discoveries
The Melting Potes Festival was born in 2020 from the desire of the Association Brochouette, a collective of music-loving volunteers, to create a festive and musical event in Bressuire. Despite starting during the pandemic, the festival has found its audience and established itself in a few editions as a major summer event in the Bocage bressuirais.
The formula is simple and effective: two days of concerts at the Château de Bressuire, a program mixing popular artists and discoveries, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and impeccable volunteer organization. The festival claims the "Melting Potes experience": that of a human-sized event where music, meeting, and celebration naturally combine.
The Château de Bressuire, a medieval fortress with imposing ramparts, offers a spectacular setting for the festival. The main stage is set up within the castle walls, between stone ramparts and starry sky, creating a unique atmosphere that festival-goers find nowhere else. A small stage complements the setup, hosting DJs, local bands, and emerging artists.
The Melting Potes lineup reflects the eclecticism of its organizers: pop, rock, electro, rap, French chanson, funk, disco, and festive music coexist in a lineup that refuses labels. The festival places great importance on regional artists and bands from Bressuire and the Thouarsais region, true to its local roots.
In just a few editions, Melting Potes has grown from a niche event to a structured festival attracting several thousand festival-goers. The Association Brochouette relies on a network of over 40 partners—local businesses, associations, and local authorities—who support the festival and contribute to its reach. Melting Potes actively contributes to the cultural and tourist appeal of the Bocage bressuirais, proving that a human-sized festival can be born and grow in a rural area.
The Melting Potes Festival returns on July 17 and 18, 2026, to the Château de Bressuire for its 6th edition, with a lineup headlined by Coeur de Pirate, an internationally renowned artist from Quebec. The singer, songwriter, and composer, known for her delicate pop melodies and French lyrics, will bring a touch of musical poetry to the foot of the medieval ramparts.
Colt, Plage Arrière, Dîner de Famille, and El Chente complete a lineup that confirms the festival's eclecticism and its taste for artists at the crossroads of genres. Ticketing will open soon on the festival's official website.
The festival takes place at the Château de Bressuire, rue du Château, 79300 Bressuire.
Online ticketing on the official website. Prices to be announced soon for each edition.
