The Mondial de l'ULM: the European capital of light aviation in Blois

For over forty years, the Mondial de l'ULM has made Blois the European capital of powered ultra-light aviation for three days every September. Organized by the French Federation of ULM (FFPLUM) at the Blois-Le Breuil aerodrome, this event is a professional trade show, a gathering of enthusiasts, and a popular festival open to all.

An event of international scale

Each edition attracts over 120 exhibitors — manufacturers, equipment suppliers, flight schools, federations — from all over Europe and beyond. More than 600 aircraft land on the field during the weekend, creating a continuous air show. Enthusiasts from 13 different nationalities converge on Blois, making the Mondial a truly international event.

The six classes of ULM represented

The Mondial covers the entire ULM universe through its six regulatory classes: hang gliders, multiaxes, gyrocopters, paramotors, ultra-light helicopters, and aerostats. This diversity offers visitors a complete panorama of light aviation, from the most classic machines to the latest innovations.

Flight demonstrations and activities

The program includes numerous flight demonstrations throughout the day, allowing visitors to admire the performance of different types of ULM. The Heritage and Innovation Village offers a dialogue between historical aircraft and new-generation concepts. The Paramotor Film Festival, recently inaugurated, enriches the cultural program, while Para-STOL demonstrations, a new sports discipline, illustrate the sector's creativity.

Conferences and meetings

Themed conferences, round tables, and technical workshops are offered during the three days. Pilots, manufacturers, and instructors interact in a friendly atmosphere that is characteristic of this event. Discovery flights allow novices to experience the sensations of ultra-light flying.
