Free concerts throughout the city on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Gif-sur-Yvette celebrates the Fête de la Musique in its various neighborhoods: from the town hall park to the Château du Val Fleury, from the Marché Neuf to the Saint-Remi church, squares, streets, and parks transform into open stages. The day is entirely free and mixes rock, pop, folk, metal, choirs, and world music.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Gif-sur-Yvette into an open-air stage every June 21. In the heart of the Saclay plateau, in Essonne, the commune welcomes amateur musicians and confirmed groups for free, from early afternoon until late in the evening, in all genres and for all audiences.
The festival takes place in several locations in the city: the town hall park, the Château du Val Fleury, the Marché Neuf, the Saint-Remi church, the South forecourt of Val Fleury, Rue Amodru near the Café de la Mairie, as well as restaurants and cafes hosting concerts. Styles coexist without hierarchy: rock, pop, folk, metal, classical, choirs, and world music.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Gif-sur-Yvette will take place on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the city. Several stages will animate different neighborhoods, from the town hall park to the Château du Val Fleury, with a program mixing rock, pop, folk, metal, choirs, and world music.
